A relaxing massage can reduce anxiety, stress and depression. As I mentioned previously, massage has been proven to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol. This improves your overall feeling of well being and can reduce blood pressure. Massage can also increase levels of the neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine, which is great for people suffering from depression.
Whilst in Germany recently, we had a chance to visit a botanical garden outside of Hamburg.
I WISH I'd taken more photos, but was so, utterly gobsmacked by the stunningly beautiful flowers and trees that I actually forgot. Anyway, here are the leaves of a Sawtooth Maple.
I was hypnotised by the beauty of this particular tree, there was no way I could take a shot of it that could do it justice, so this is the best I could do.
