EARLY in the morning!!!!....

And a GREAT good morning to you all! Especially, to all of you who so very kindly helped and donated money via Gofundme to support my qualification as a Psych-K counsellor to help people who've been affected by stress. I finally hit it, have gotten the funds together and Here's me, early this morning, bathrobe and all arranging my travel schedule for my qualification course in Wales!!! Guys, I cannot thank you all enough. Bless all of you who've donated and shared and helped me keep my chin well and truly up. Thanks for believing in me, I'm going to make you proud. Well, it feels like Autumn is seriously kicking in, the skies are greyer and there's definitely a nip in the air!  IMPROVES WELL-BEING A relaxing massage can reduce anxiety, stress and depression. As I mentioned previously, massage has been proven to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol. This improves your overall feeling of well being and can reduce blood pressure. Massage can also increase levels of the neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine, which is great for people suffering from depression. Whilst in Germany recently, we had a chance to visit a botanical garden outside of Hamburg. I WISH I'd taken more photos, but was so, utterly gobsmacked by the stunningly beautiful flowers and trees that I actually forgot. Anyway, here are the leaves of a Sawtooth Maple. I was hypnotised by the beauty of this particular tree, there was no way I could take a shot of it that could do it justice, so this is the best I could do. Have a great day!

Nourishing oneself

REDUCES INFLAMMATION A study published in Science Translational Medicine in 2012 found that massage greatly relieves sore muscles after physical exercise. Just 10 minutes of massage can reduce inflammation and help your body recover more quickly. The business seems to be ticking over alright. in the meantime, here's something that's got A LOT to do with massage...I've found that if you feed yourself right (in many ways, but importantly nourishing oneself with interests, hobbies, food, time to really relax) then strangely enough you become open to having a better calmer energy. So yes, cooking for my loves is something that gives me back, big time.  SPOILER ALERT. More pictures of food and my other hobbies to come!

Pain reduction and stir-fry

 REDUCES chronic PAIN A 2011 study of of over 400 people with  lower back pain  published in  the  Annals of Internal Medicine  stated clearly that  Swedish massage or deep tissue  massage helps alleviate chronic lower back pain.  After receiving 1 massage a week for 10 weeks, 30% of patients were relieved of pain compared to 4% of the patients given standard medical  treatment. The benefits of massage in this study lasted for 6 months, An earlier 2006 study published also in the American Archives of Internal Medicine showed that frequent massages also decreases stiffness, pain and improved movement in people with osteoarthritis. As you may know by now, I'm a foodie. Yep, I admit it and am not (really) ashamed of it. Shaun Day var solgt da han for første gang nogensinde trådte på dansk jord tilbage i 2002. Dengang var han rejst til Danmark fra Boston kun med det ene formål at besøge venner i Danmark. Men besøget i Danmark gjorde så godt et indtryk på Shaun, at få måneder efter han var vendt tilbage til livet i Boston, så besluttede han sig for at pakke kufferten og rejse til Danmark for at bosætte sig her i Odense. Shaun tog for ca. 30 år siden en uddannelse som massør, da han dengang boede i London. I år 2000 videreuddannede han sig som massør, hvor han tog en ny massøruddannelse, som han kunne benytte i forbindelse med sit arbejde på et hø...
